The Hooks New Album – ‘Everything Is Golden’

A mash-up of international influences: Irelands famous sense of black humor and literary exploits, America’s rock n’ roll roots, Russia’s bolshevik trad with a dash of lo-fi gritty garage culminate in a maelstrom of sound.

‘The Commuter’ is a pop anthem for the working class hero who knows all too well the drudgery of the cycle of banality which defines his cubicle-bound existence. ‘So May Questions’ has been described as ‘a song Tarantino would use in a bank heist scene.’

‘Everything Is Golden’s folksy cadence starts off in Moscow and ends up on a rollicking joy ride straight to hell.
