Wedcoupon is an ecommerce platform that offers sales events ranging from discounted high-demand wedding related merchandise, travel, wine, and services. Engaged couples and their attendants can register to receive emails about sales events that could save them a small fortune on one of life’s most expensive occasions. Registered members can also search for time-dated sales events via the ‘calendar function’ to discover local vendors discounts that coincide with their wedding date. Local sales events on wedding services are offered in Washington DC and Seattle, future cities include New York, Chicago, San Francisco, LA, and more. Everything from the dress, the honeymoon, and wine, to decor is offered nationally.
“I’ve been in the industry for 15 years and understand that weddings can be the most expensive event of a lifetime…but they don’t have to be!” Says Co-Founder, Katie Martin
Carolyn Gerin, Co-Founder, elaborates, “Wedcoupon offers on-trend, stylish solutions at affordable price points. Remember: the day after your wedding is the beginning of your economic life together…. If you want to live well, keep an eye on the balance sheet.”
“Wedcoupon’s product and service offerings is what truly sets us apart from our competitors. If I could have saved on my wedding makeup or even booked an ice cream truck to offer luscious late night snacks for my guests, I may have been inspired to explore different possibilities.” said Carina Walters, CMO of Wedcoupon. “We know that most couples in today’s economy are digging into their savings to bring their dream wedding to life – we want to lower those costs, and allow them to have it all, without ever sacrificing style or innovation.”
To celebrate the launch Wedcoupon has dropped shipping to $4.95, and is reaching out to the budget savvy-newly-engaged-Seattle-ites to be guest bloggers and join the champagne-fueled inspiration committee video calls at HQ. Here, Seattle-ites will share their great finds, unique wedding inspirations, personal style, and tips and tricks on “how to stay happily engaged in 2012” with Wedcoupon and our followers. Believe it or not, it’s that time again! Yet another glossy-paged, inspiration-filled issue of Destination I Do has hit stands! Our Fall/Winter 2011 issue launched today and we’re as excited as ever to share with you what you’ll find between covers. Real-life bride Megan sets the tone on our cover as she’s ready to get honeymooning post-wedding. This is one of our favorite covers ever and was captured by the amazingly talented Stephanie Williams of This Modern Romance.
For our Fashion Forward department we stuck close to home, capturing the urban city of Phoenix and the sandy sunsets of the Sonoran Desert. Our models brought elegance to a 100-year old ice house in downtown and sophistication to the Superstition Mountains of Arizona.
As always, the writers and editors at Destination I Do traveled far and wide to bring you the inside scoop on honeymoon hot spots, but also those romantic destinations you might not have thought of on your own. Contrast town and country in London & Paris or set sea from Seattle to the San Juan Islands.
Destination I Do Magazine’s Editor in Chief, Jennifer Stein, took a dream trip to Hawaii to bring readers the utmost in luxurious accommodations. For non-land lovers we’ve got some down-under trips which will take you diving off the coast of Honduras in Utila and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
The Real Weddings section is always a crowd-pleaser, so we’ve gone above and beyond this issue to bring you the inside scoop on five couples destination weddings. Find out what they got for the money with budgets ranging from 10K to 150K.
This is all just a tiny taste of what you can find in our Fall/Winter 2011 issue. Want to pick one up? You can find Destination I Do at Barnes & Noble, select Borders and other fine book retailers worldwide. Don’t have one of these nearby – no problem! It’s easy to subscribe on our web site and the issue will be delivered to your door in about a week. If you love this issue as much as we do, then share the love and spread the word! As always, thanks for your continued support and love of all things Destination I Do.
