Hey Anti-Brides: these NY gals really got it going on when it comes to reinterpreting the predictable Crane’s ‘black script on cream card stock’ wedding and pre-event invites. Like my good friends at Bon Moment, PostScript Brooklyn does it differently, and here, writes a  love letter to the Big Apple. Iconic and beautifully rendered, these invitations belong in an envelope and later, a frame. Read on!

The (Brooklyn) bridge to your future!

PostScript Brooklyn announces the launch of its online wedding invitation store for the urban and sophisticated bride and groom. Founded by the owners of Brooklyn’s iconic paperie, Lion in the Sun, PostScript Brooklyn offers exclusive custom invitation suites, exceptional hands-on service and 24/7 online access.

Your wedding: a walk in the park....

Designed in collaboration with celebrated local artists, including Mallory Larson, Foxy & Winston, Linda & Harriett, Moontree Letterpress, Serimony, Sesame Letterpress and The Nic Studio, these 30 stunning invitation suites highlight imagery found within urban landscapes – metropolitan skylines, bold graphics, remarkable architecture and bursts of nature.

Prices for invitations range from $5 – $16 per set and can be purchased online at

Tosca Soraya's bold couture debuts at Supper Club tonight

You always get inspired at an AICA-SF Fashion show. A few weeks ago, I was happy to be invited by friends, Angella Hoffman, Clarissa Nicosia (fashion show designer), Jennifer Tomaro, and Bo Breda. As an institution, they are hands down, the future of young designers in SF – stellar fashion to be seen on the stage and off the stage as well.

I was walking through the crowd and spotted a 6 foot tall model wearing one of the most stunning dresses I have ever seen (or possibly in captivity), and I stated simply: ‘take me to your leader.’

She promptly marched me over to the lovely Tosca Soraya, flanked by a coterie of hipster fashionistas all clad in her couture. After a mutual love fest, card exchange, and fast forward two weeks, I’m looking forward to attending her fashion show this evening at Supper Club in SF. Tosca is an up and coming fashion super star who will be debuting her collection, “Hardscore” and sharing the limelight tonight with local milliner extraordinaire (and SF buddy) Melissa Bolin of Kitty Andrews Millinery. Look for a post dedicated specifically to Melissa in the coming weeks. Who needs a wedding veil  when you rock one of these numbers?

It promises to be a night of sparkle, spackle, and glorious finery, rendered SF style: with an edge.

Excerpted from

This month at supperclub’s ongoing avant garde supperchic event, Tosca Soraya and Kitty Andrews Millinery are on the evening’s menu, which pairs a three-course dinner with a fashion show and interactive elements such as a photo shoot with a pro photographer.

If you caught Kitty Andrews’ previous supperchic appearance earlier this year, prepare to to see even more edge in this week’s show.

“It will be a bit more over-the-top avant-garde than that show that I had back with Eel & Ermine,” Kitty Andrews’ designer Melissa Bolin tells us.

Dinner before the show is a reasonable $35 for three courses, and you can start the evening off with a Champagne happy hour beginning at 6 p.m.
